    FinOpsProduct Update

    From The Founder

    Dear Finomics® Community,

Welcome to Finomics first newsletter! I am very excited to start the newsletter series for Finomics.

This month we focus on how Finomics brings value to Azure FinOps landscape, bringing deeper visibility into how cloud costs are distributed across regions. With our latest release, organizations can now visualize Azure and Microsoft eco-system spending through interactive dashboards & regional cost maps, transforming complex billing data into clear, actionable insights.

With Finomics, our customers are seeing results across three key areas:

    • Visibility: Identifying unknown spend through built-in dashboards that show where every dollar is spent
    • Governance: Placing custom policies to catch idle and oversized resources before they impact budgets
    • Savings: Taking action on recommendations across all clouds from a Single Pane of Glass — Finomics

As cloud environments continue to expand globally, FinOps teams need smarter tools to manage distributed infrastructure efficiently. Finomics is designed to make cloud cost intelligence visual, intuitive, and actionable.

I also want to highlight how Finomics integrates deeply with Azure Cloud, Azure Marketplace, Microsoft 365, and the entire Microsoft ecosystem to help bring visibility, governance, and control in one single pane of glass.

Let's continue working together to make cloud efficiency the default, not the exception.

    Warm Regards,
Chirag Bhavsar, Founder & CEO, Finomics®

    CUSTOMER SUCCESS STORIES

    Cloud Cost Breakdown

An E-commerce technology company had a $480,000 cost bump in their Azure EA/MCA bill that they couldn't explain for a month. They knew the spend had jumped but couldn't pinpoint where it came from. Finomics® broke it down — identifying that the Cloud team had purchased a Marketplace offering, Savings Plans and Reserved Instances and showing the actual usage against each purchase. Finomics® articulated the full spend across Marketplace, SaaS, and Azure Cloud, giving the customer a clear picture of exactly where every dollar went. Scenario analysis incorporating Reserved Instances and auto-scaling saved a potential $300,000 over the planning period. Leadership locked in accurate IT budgets and entered vendor negotiations backed by hard data.

    MoM Cost Tree View

Using Finomics® Month-over-Month view, the customer could see exactly which services drove costs higher — with a full breakdown of Azure Services. As an example for Azure Compute services - VMs, Functions, and specific resource-level detail were given them information from Service level to Resource level to SKU level. Finomics® generated trends and highlighted anomalies automatically. With advanced filters, the customer focused on exactly what mattered: all resources across all clouds costing more than a set threshold, with resource-specific information at their fingertips.

    Custom Recommendations & ServiceNow Integration

Finomics® AI-powered Custom Recommendation engine identified Idle and Over-provisioned VMs, generating potential savings of $100,000+ — each recommendation assigned to the appropriate team. Recommendations integrated directly with ServiceNow (ITSM) to auto-generate tickets for the right group. Finomics® doesn’t just generate recommendations — it proves why each recommendation was made, without requiring access to the Cloud Console.

FinOps Tip: Catch Azure leaks before they cost you

You don't have to wait for the end of the month to spot a problem. Spend spikes, untagged resources, and idle compute are all visible days before they hit your bill. Finomics automatically finds these signals for you, so your team can pivot in hours and keep your Azure environment lean.

Next week we break down exactly what these findings mean for Azure FinOps practitioners. You won’t want to miss it.
